SwingIN 2017 is bringing 4 amazing opportunities for you to Show Up & Throw Down.

Newcomer Mix N Match

Never competed before? Perfect.
Maybe competed one or twice, but never placed? Join in!
A Mix N Match involves simply signing up as a lead or follow. From there, you will be randomly drawn to dance together to several songs of varying styles and tempos. You will be judged as individuals in the preliminary round.Dancers selected to dance in the finals will be randomly assigned a partner again, but will be judged as a couple as they dance in a group spotlight format.
If you’re new to competing, this is THE opportunity for you to give it a shot and see exactly why it’s so addicting and fun!
$5 Registration per individual dancer – Competition to take place Friday

Open Mix N Match

This will be a social dance competition open to everyone. Leaders and followers will be randomly drawn to dance together to several songs of varying styles and tempos, but will be judged as individuals in the preliminary rounds. Dancers selected to dance in the finals will be randomly assigned a partner again, but will be judged as a couple as they dance in a spotlight format.
$10 Registration per individual dancer – Competition to take place Saturday

Strictly Partnered*

Grab your dance partner…it’s about to go down.
Sign up as a pair to dance to music selected by SwingIN. Finals will be danced in a jam format to a live band. Although choreographed sequences are not disallowed, the judges will be looking for spontaneity, creativity and connection to the music.
$15 Registration per individual dancer – Competition to take place Saturday

* Top Prize for the Strictly Partnered is $500 Cold. Hard. Cash.
* You must have at least a dance pass for the weekend to compete in this competition

The Naptown Throw Down

SwingIN returns this year with the Naptown Throw Down.
Free to join, this competition is based on classic group routines, of which you’re likely familiar. If The Shim Sham, The Big Apple, The Tranky Doo, and the like are old hat for you, you’ll definitely want to stay until Sunday night for the Naptown Throw Down.
Last year’s Naptown Throw Down winner, Kemper Talley, walked away with $100 cash – something you might keep in mind.
